@NigelJ, I wasn't suggesting you would not be familiar with nature v nurture. I wasn't saying you said "identical". I wasn't quoting you. My post just happened to come after yours. I did make a specific reference to KT53's experience, but, other than that, I was just generally joining in.

I understand emotional bandwidth as the amount of effort you need to expend to feel stable internally. Anxious people, for example, can use up a lot on inner worry and have less time/attention focussed on external interactions. I don't think referring to brain activity as bandwidth is controversial.

I attended 14 different schools due to moving lots or boundary changes. The longest I lived in one place was 4 years and I still think fondly of that house when I pass by it.

My sons were able to stay in the same school as their buddies for the first 10 years. I couldn't afford to buy a home in the same area so we moved here. They and my granddaughters have attended the same high school.

I think stability is great but I survived without it and have managed to become outgoing no matter what the situation.

And if anything, it has made me a tough old bird. I can and have, weathered just about any hardship sent to me and mine.

In that case I apologise. However what was the first section of your post referring to, or prompted by?
I still do not know what you meant by "Emotional Bandwidth". I don't think you could refer to brain activity in general as bandwidth, it's brain activity. A certain bundle of neurons could have a bandwidth i.e a certain amount of signal that could pass down it in a given time. Also brain activity in general is not simply concerned with emotions.
To me Emotional Bandwidth is as nebulous a concept as Emotional Intelligence.

Just to try to lighten to mood a bit - I've mentioned in the past the absolute carp that the online version of our local rag publishes. They have really outdone themselves this time. They refer to King Charles' mother-in-law enjoying Strictly Come Dancing, and that the information came from her son who apparently is Tom Parker-Bowles. If the last part is correct the actually mean Charlie's wife aka The Queen.

Your situation is similar to mine @NigelJ - I'm so different from my sister that I'd wonder if we were related at all if we didn't look quite alike. It's the same with my daughters ,but they both have their own problems to deal with too.
Socialising is painful for me, and it was hard to try and be like others as a teenager/young adult. Having realised in later life that I'm 'on the spectrum' as they now call it, it makes more sense.

 

Chip shops don't use newspapers here - they use brown paper bags and an inner white thing. All goes soggy. Newspapers used to give off a certain smell when hot and steamy.
