It’s stated to get a bit wet, wild and windy out already. Take care out there!

The 4 day weather warning starts in 20 mins. 45mph winds and rain from the west. But it is mildish.

Our BBC TV returned to normal last night after no TV for days. Just hope these storms don't blow it off course again. It's them not us! Maybe they need to screw the dishes down better!

It’s now getting unpleasant outside. My street cat has returned and is seeking shelter in his house.
Rain and wind increasing, but still warm with 12c.

A grey, wet day with a downpour about an hour ago. 7C/45F.

Just to add to the misery my boiler controls have just given up the ghost. :frown:

Very wet and very windy. My poor Ocado delivery driver has just called (6.30 pm) to say he’ll be an hour late and we should expect to see him sometime between 8 and 9 pm. I don’t envy him being out driving in this and having to get in and out of his van to carry boxes to the various houses in the pouring rain.

Just (6.45 pm) updated his delivery time to 9.30 pm or later…

9.45 pm - he’s just left us. Poor man soaked through. An accident on the M1 to blame.

The forecast for Saturday is 60mph winds just as we do our shopping. Could be interesting.

It's Friday and I woke up at 2 again, but good news is I will have one week off :)

It's getting bumpy over the weekend, just when we planed our meeting with colleagues and friends in Cirencester where a Christmas market is planed and a meal in Ampney Crucis.
Strong winds of up to 58 mph from tonight up to Sunday. Up to 8c and over night 6c. Rain all the time from tonight on until Sunday evening.

The good news is that there is a high chance that we could get a mild winter if the weather pattern doesn't change completely. If we had 3 negative NAO months Sept to Nov in the past, then the NAO was in the positive for the next 3 months. If you want to know what this means:
                                The North Atlantic Oscillation
