I'm not really a Christmas song person, but what does make me smile is when I hear The Darkness, "Don't let the Bells End" .

We did know Justin a bit in the early days as his manager's mother lived right next door to us here. The band and Sue would turn up in a van late at night and unload their equipment. We would see them having a cigarette in the back garden.

Hubby also had a chat with Justin on the phone one evening and we were invited to a BBQ, but unfortunately had something else already booked!

We were given free concert tickets and were even offered one of his Bengal cats!

Nice chap and I believe the band is still touring.

I heard their Xmas song the other day and it always makes me smile.

 

That song has been retitled "Don't let the bellends" and has been released to celebrate Keir Starmer. Even better is "Freezing This Christmas" which is genuinely thought to have a great chance of being the Christmas No1. The BBC have refused to play it.

 

This is the no 1 for the second time

 

I think most UK stations will not play that track. Or if they do they will cut
out references to Stammer etc.
