Evri is usually pretty good around here, Yodel is abysmal, I think it just depends on your local delivery person and if they speak English and understand addresses in the UK.

There is a story I could tell about a a certain vacuum cleaner company that used Yodel in their delivery to me, it was supposedly delivered but no picture and I immediately got on the phone to the company concerned.
They just said, Ok we will call that lost in transit and sent me another one next day via DPD, most of those do at least speak English.

Neighbour came round next day and said I found this in our rubbish bin, its got your name on.:roflol:
Big companies just put a claim against the idiot companies they use I presume.

I also had a window blind delivered by someone a quarter of a mile away, again it was Yodel, they had thrown it over her fence onto her grass.

Our EVRI delivery guy is great, but I get the impression we must be in the minority in having a positive opinion of the company.

Evri here is very good. He’s been doing it for years and gets a little Christmas present from me every year. Amazon, on the other hand, are rubbish.

Evri good here, too. Delivery chap is lovely. Royal Mail is the worst.

Our Evri chap, Yousef, is great. Same time everyday. Very reliable.

Royal Mail keeps changing the postie. At least they haven't folded our Christmas cards in half this year.

Many years ago I had ordered a rather large rotavator for our veggie plot. In the ordering slot was a question:- "If not in, do we contact you and arrange re-delivery or is there a safe place to leave it?"

I was quite clear with my answer, "I am unable to get to the door due to an operation so please leave it in the open porch by the front door." I thought that was clear enough. A couple of days later I received an email saying it had been delivered so I hobbled to the front door and no rotavator. After a couple of emails back and forth they said they would redeliver - which they did.

Subsequently, when I was able to hobble up the garden I found the original delivery dumped on the verge outside the top of our driveway. To explain:- we have an "in" and "out" driveway as we are on a bend and it is for safety. The front garden is 90ft wide and over 100ft long. So we can't see anything from the house.

The first delivery driver obviously couldn't be bothered to trolley all the way to the front door so just dumped it on the front. I contacted the company we bought it from and they said they had already claimed from the delivery company so they had no way to put it back into their inventory and to save them the effort we could just keep it. :rolleyespink:

The charity we support sold it for 150 pounds - at least 30 years ago.

Being that we have a post code that points to our house we get most of the parcels left at the front door  even Amazon parcels have come here and they use GPS to go to houses so if a driver scans it at another GPS piont you then get all parcels, it all can be a pain in the backside, as i have been accused of taking parcels i moan at the drivers that delive them here and then i also have a go at some of the poeple collceting them because they don't have the name of their house's on the front of their property:mad:

Turkeys have got so expensive this year. Paid £55 for a 6kg one. Well it did have on the label corn fed, bronze, Norfolk, free range and Bressingham I think. And then on cleaning it out the giblet bag was frozen solid and there was ice inside. What temps do they store them at?

I always chop off the lower part of the legs so that they don't spring out of the foil mid cooking. Had to use the garden loppers (cleaned before and after).

Our evri guy is great so are the yodel and DPD chaps. Royal Mail is 50/50 and amazon fair to middling.

Well happily I got my parcel today, and it turned up bang on the beginning of the 1 hour slot.

Some years ago I ordered components for sliding wardrobe doors from B&Q. One item was a 4 metre long metal fascia to run the full width of the wardrobes. They unloaded the doors and other bits but no sign of the fascia. When asked, the driver said it was still in the van and he would go and get it. He came back with it, folded in half. When I said it was unusable like that his excuse was it was too long to fit in the van so he had to fold it!

It can't matter that much; as you have also omitted the apostrophe from the start of your post.
