I caught the end of a news article this morning about a Boxing Day sea swim being cancelled somewhere on the south coast due to poor water quality. The quality has fallen from 'Good' to 'Unsafe' in 2 years. When questioned about it the local water company blamed holiday let accommodation with substandard plumbing!

So glad our house is entirely un-smart. Mind you, they are welcome to listen in to our conversations, which amount to little more than “could you get me the salt, please? No, the salt. Thank you”.

The snarky tone of that article is entirely justified, @Tidemark!

Why do you need to have your air fryer connected to the internet and who on earth actually enables that connection.

When we were buying a new dishwasher, some years ago, the salesgirl suggested we get the latest super duper internet abled one and I asked why. She couldn't answer the question but said 'everyone wants one' :rolleyespink: . I said 'not everyone' and walked out the shop. :roflol:

If it collected them, loaded them, and put them all away for you, while sending emails for you and ordering your shopping - as well as washing/drying, people might want that @shiney. :heehee:

The only dishwasher in my house is me - and I'm definitely not internet enabled....

 What, it works by making one's muscles move too? I thought just the scenery would be a bit different (visual and sound). I would create the garden of my dreams with it, mountains, streams, forests, ponds, beautiful flowers, birds, bees, insects of all kinds, a concession to a few slugs and snails, fungi, mosses, perfect weather and no effort. Would the novelty wear off? I can see this technology being offered as therapy (for better or worse).
