In the reduced section in my local B&Q yesterday were a number of clematis half price at £3.50. These are last years which looked like the young established 1 year plants in litre pots then but are now obv a year on. The root balls were very big. I got a "Justa" and there was Hagley Hybrid plus a few others all looked to be Group 3's. As we know they all look a bit forlorn at this time of year but they all did have buds emerging. Mine went straight into the garden but they are still good for growing on at that price

@smallkernowgarden, I have just been to B and Q and sadly no clematis, reduced or otherwise.
I was at my local Parkers' GC recently and spotted a clematis Crystal Fountain which I have been looking for. It looked dead (not surprising at this time of year) and the pot was full of weeds - price £19.99! So I asked for a discount, and was told that come spring when it starts to grow it will be cut back and the weeds cleared out. Really?? I would have thought it would be cheaper for them to buy new plants than pay someone to do that.

I hate to see neglected plants
You often see it in the supermarket/DIY places but expect better of GC's when they are asking those prices.

I will check mine tomorrow. I went in last week and they had some very nice Hamamelis, if anyone's looking for one. They were £22, and looked just as big as the one I bought from a GC in the autumn for well over £30.
