It’s so dark and gloomy. Rain and wind picking-up now.

It started damp this morning, and more rain forecast for this afternoon, but just now it's dry and fairly bright although cloudy. And chilly.

After a lovely day yesterday, clear and frosty last night. All frost gone by morning, dry and dull again . The rain has just started in earnest, and the wind is blowing it straight into the windows at the back of the house.
From what I remember my parents telling me, it's the same weather as 72 years ago when my father battled to find a working call box to get the midwife out. By the time she arrived a neighbour had done the necessary, she always referred to me as "her" baby, but it was years before I understood why.

Sky is black in the west, brighter in the east and the sun has just come out.

Wild, wet and windy and surprisingly cold, only just above 4c.
I thought it would have warmed up a bit with all the wind and rain.

Sky has finally cleared, ground is absolutely sodden. A flexitub that I emptied yesterday now has at least 2 inches of rainwater. Birds are all having a good singsong before bed. More rain forecast for tomorrow.

My old friend in Sanquhar had a pretty bad storm but survived. Here it was just a windy, drippy day. Then a day of calm clear sunshine, but now back to the wind and the rain.

                    Has anybody heard from fairygirl?

Really heavy rain earlier and the sky was the same colour as the road, which made for miserable driving. Winds set to return tomorrow afternoon.

We are having a heat wave. It is 30f -1c and sunny. And the guessers say it will sunny again tomorrow. Absolutely wonderful for me as I want to do a little bit of work on the greenhouses wiring and as everyone knows, when the sun shines on a cool day, the greenhouse is the best place to be! Lucky me :spinning:
