Whats Your Weather Like 2025

Cloudy in various colours today.

It’s Groundhog Day today! A cloudy day would spell a prediction that Spring is just around the corner, where a clear sunny day predicts another six weeks of Winter.

Groundhog Day 2025: Will Punxsutawney Phil See His Shadow?

 

It is 14f -10c and supposed to be up to 23f -5c so though cloudy, it will be a lot nicer today. And yes, the groundhog will not see his shadow

 

Lovely spring day nice and sunny even gave the lawn it's 2nd mow

 

Phil the Groundhog has predicted…

Six more weeks of Winter!!!

And so he will return to his burrow…

 

Two minor things: firstly he's an American groundhog in America and secondly he's wrong about 70% of the time.
However here nobody's seeing anythings shadow and spring is just around the corner on the 1st of March.

 

Things didn't look good for the week after next.
Possible beast from the east set up, I hope not.

BTW Spring Equinox isn't until March 20th. Otherwise we are in complete agreement!

 

For a minute I thought they was going to quote climate change.
Then they added, the worst for 60 yrs, so its obviously not that then.

 

The Groundhog thing is just a bit of fun. The day that Spring starts will always be a debate - I like to say 1st March as that is sooner, but Equinox is the significant marker scientifically. Let’s face it, we often have snow in March which spoils the Spring vibe somewhat!

Got to 17c today, no rain. Sun came out for a few hours, now 14c going down to 8c.

 

A cloudy start then sunny and calm all day. 10C/50F

 

It can snow in the hills near here in any month of the year, indeed I remember snow in June in the early 1980's in Leicestershire, it didn't last, but I can remember blossom on trees covered with snow.
