Our forecast is now saying possible snow.

All our trees are full of ominous birds that are not moving even their heads. :th scifD36:

Lightly overcast, breezy, 12c going to 18c. Accuweather says it is raining and will continue till 9am ... but I must need new glasses because I can't see it and the patios are dry!

Dry atm but it could be a wet day ahead with a top temp of 7c. As we haven't had much rain lately, this is OK by me:)

Drizzle all day here. Possible dry for two days then, but not much warmer until midweek. I need a break in the rain today or tomorrow so I can check the pond is clear of leaves around the edge, as it’s frog spawn time soon.

This winter seems a very long one to me, maybe just getting ancient!
It has felt really really cold for weeks yet is, in reality above freezing. Apart from the serious gales a couple of weeks ago it has not even been that windy yet feels bitter.
Apart from a dusting 2 months ago and another sprinkling of the dreaded white stuff today we have had no snow and been pretty dry. Many of my friends have agreed while joining in the chorus of “ I cannot believe how much wood we have gone through in our stoves”. Thank god for them as to me at any rate central heating just does not compare with the heat from a stove when you are trying to get the feeling back in your hands and feet!

The blue sky didn't last long yesterday - 2mm rain in the evening/overnight, and more in the forecast for today.

The first inch or so of the four inches of predicted snow has fallen. It is quite warm compared to what's coming in. 26f -3c. Next week the day time highs will be around the 8f -13c mark. But after tomorrow's repeat of today, at least I may be able to give the shovel a rest :)

High was 19,3c today and we had four notices of rain but none visited here. It is dark and 16c now still with a sharp wind which probably blew the rain away.

@CanadianLori A friend of ours moved to Canada 20 years ago or more. He loves the country and the lifestyle but simply can't cope with the winters any more. He and his Canadian wife are moving to the UK soon, where he can have 11 months of just miserable, wet weather instead.
The house they have in Canada is on a plot of about 2 acres but he said they barely get a couple of months use of it. In his words, he can't use it for about 6 months because of snow and cold, 2 months due to blackfly and two months for mozzies!
For those who aren't aware of the difference, Canadian blackfly don't eat your runner beans, they try to eat you!
