But some people live in places where the cats would be in danger outside, like busy roads, or they may live in high flats.
However, one of our cats lived to be 22 yrs old and the house was on a very busy main road with lots of cars and lorries, and there were woods opposite the house where she loved to spend her time. I suppose she was careful when crossing, I used to see her sitting on a wall by the woods, looking around and listening to the traffic before crossing.

Desculpa ... I obviously didn't look clearly, so looks like Ben.

@Scroggin ... The compliment goes to you,

Wow, they are adorable. They look like toys. Are they related and how old? I would not want them out ... they might get stolen! Bet you have to brush them daily.

They are brothers, about 12 years old now. I comb them rather than brushing, with a detangling comb as advised by the breeder - probably not as often as I should!
I'm glad that you like them - your cats are very cute too.

Your cats are beautiful @Victoria, I don't remember seeing such closeup photos of them.

Bella has been sleeping on a slab in the sunshine and using a creeping Campanula as a pillow :heehee:

Oscar was the cat that adopted us many years ago. He set up home in the greenhouse and was happiest in there or the garden so we think he had an unhappy indoors life before.

He was quite happy until one of our visitors to our open garden each year turned up with this

Although he also had a place on the top shelf

But didn't mind slumming it among the lower classes

He liked to sleep amongst the flower

              And certainly knew his onions

But his favourite place was with the love of his life

After Oscar we had Sarafi who lived four doors away but spent most of his time with us when we were around. Now that he has gone we get visits from Ollie who is a bit aloof but getting friendlier.
