Not a Cordyline. Looks like a baby palm tree, not sure how old it is, quite young if it grows to 15ft when mature. I'll take a pic tomorrow

Going to try and finish off emptying two huge bulk bags of gravel in the front garden today….if it stops raining. We managed to empty one yesterday and have most of the second one to empty today. The area now looks huge so have ordered some wooden planters to place about the garden to break it up a bit. It will probably need something more but will get them as and when.

I don’t know what it is called, but a house a couple of roads away used to have something similar. Grew to about 3 m and had purple flower stalks. It looked like a giant Veronica.

I bought 1.2L bottle of Tomorite at my local garden centre, quite a bargain
          for £5, unless it's been watered down:whistle:

Would that have been an Echium, perhaps?

Possibly! It seemed quite short-lived, but was certainly dramatic.

Bitter out there, even with my winter jacket and a hot water bottle for my back. Watered a couple of things, as we haven’t had rain in a while … but then came back in. So many things to do out there, so it is frustrating. Those few warm days last week are a distant memory.

              Yes looks like an Echium.

I've just planted my Red Barron onion sets, its quite early for me, some years I cant even get on the mud until April.

I've now done 6 more hours of pressure washing since my last post and hope to finish in another 6 hours of work. :fingers crossed:
