@Garden Novice this does happen if they are in little light as they "etiolate" (become strung up) but also can be (as always) too much/too little watering. Maybe try putting them in a different area, if you can. Others on the forum will have better ideas.
    Don't give up.

Catching up again by sowing pea beans in pots and left in the tunnel but then found that last year we didn't sow until April/May.....so we are ahead (and will probably regret it).
Also sowed some radish in the ground in the tunnel and some leeks in a tray for planting out some weeks hence.
Cut back the lavenders (yes again we are behind but still trying to catch up).
Again VERY behind, planted out some garlic cloves from one of the harvested bulbs from last year. Maybe nothing will come from them but still worth a go.
The first cut of the paths in the orchard. Wish the rabbits would go elsewhere with their diggings as the mower really doesn't like the potholes.

        Thank you
They have had lots of light but the rest I don’t know if I have over watered.

Lettuce tend to like cool growing conditions, if you dont have enough light that will also cause this kind of growth.
Are they in the house, and what temperature are they getting?
I'd prick them out and cover most of that stem.

Yes, but they dont need temperatures that high TBH.
Can you get them into cell trays and around 15c but still with good light.

Have potted on the Impatiens cuttings from last autumn, and a couple of bits of Lobelia that were in a little vase but are sprouting roots. :blue thumb:

Deadheaded loads of Tete-a-tete and removed a few weeds too. A dry afternoon and not too sunny either, perfect gardening weather!

Busy couple of days for different reasons , Sunday wet and cool all day so did some diy for Mrs B and played the game of “ How many times will i have to go back out to the garage to get something else i need “ - ( answer = 7). The last two occasions i even had a green woodpecker “ laughing” at me from a big ash tree as i went back to the garage. Cheek !!
Yesterday , big difference , nice day and did all sorts, most of it long overdue , tidying borders shrubs and at last got onto the veg plot. This created loads of material which i took to the tip today and , on arrival home , at last , the tortoises have stirred from hibernation , so , its official , its spring !

The proof is in the poo :)
How he managed to get up here is a secret to me.
But good news is that I discovered this morning that the affected geranium gets new shoots

What did I do in the garden today? I cannot quite tell you in polite language, but I'll try...
We have pruned a pyracantha from beside the patio, pressure washed and weeded the area.
                        And breathe...
OH said I'll do a bit more when I've had a sit down... OK
He sits down, I begin hoeing and then I see him hacking at the fatsia... nooooo....
The camelia is next in line... sprints (well not exactly sprints) over, yelling stop....
He said, 'I told you I was going to do more'.
Yes, but not without consulting the head gardener (me!) first.
The camelia is safe, the fatsia will grow back, unfortunately, so will the pyracantha.
My apprentice gardener is becoming a liability :)

That sounds like a cunning plan on your OH’s behalf @Penny_Forthem, never to be asked to help in the garden again .
