More ferns… you can see the tiny leaves of this adiantum folded in.

I’ve only got very small plants from cuttings I’ve taken when I moved house in December. The new garden was all lawn over a mound of rubble so it’s a slow, painful, disheartening process.

That's yellow archangel. We have a native woodland variety that has plain leaves. The variegated leaf variety is non-native and classified as an invasive plant. Though most of the scaremongering articles you find about it on the web are from companies selling services to remove it.

I have a lot of it in my garden, but it's been there more than 30 years and and hasn't destroyed the world yet.

https://www.nonnativespecies.org/no... have arisen as,form of the native subspecies.

I've tried and failed to remove yellow archangel from our garden in Norfolk. It can smother everything in its path!

Ive seen it around, didnt realise it wasnt native. Assumed it was just a yellow variant of the white dead nettle

Thank you, @Perki. It’s a bit like history repeating itself with all the rubble and stones in the ground. Hopefully it will look nice in a couple of years.

Tulip Queen of the Night (I think) seems reliably perennial. I planted a small set, probably 5 or 8 bulbs, a couple of years ago, and now there are 16 flowers. Usually I find only the species ones or the big red or yellow Darwin's keep going.

Petunia Black Velvet. A cheat - I took cuttings last autumn and this is what it's done in a cold greenhouse! But the original plant outside has started growing too! Last year, I made a "subtle as a sledgehammer" pot of this with hot red lychnis "Molten lava". But the lychnis had too short a season. Any suggestions for an alternative please?

I have small patch of variegated Yellow Archangel growing near the edge of a walled shady spot and it's shown no signs of spreading from there, it's busy with bees at this time of year and gets mowed from time to time.

@CarolineL I bought Queen of the Night and White Triumphator over 20 years ago they come back every year, they have wandered around the bed they were planted in and are generally smaller than the first year.
