Another email scam alert

Just recieved this email today.
They must think I have just arrived on the banana boat!
He says I`m to keep it top secret !!

I am Dr. James Smith, the Comptroller of Fund Movement Terminal and Director of national warehouse where abandoned fund/valuables consignments are dumped. I choose to do this because records on your files shows that your consignment has packed for seizure due to lack of compliance of the british laid down rules and regulations.I want to make sure you are ready to work with me, and as well confide in you to make this a success. This is a belter!

In the past a friend has kept the author of one of these types of scams stringing along for weeks.

 

You will never get your funds now Capney which have been 'lost in space'. You have probably upset 'Dr Smith' by revealing him. :D

 

I must be quite intolerant. I can't even bring myself to read to the end of that illiterate nonsense. How do they hope to get away with it.

 

Actually that one is quite together compared with some of the stuff I get. A lot of it is penned by kindly Nigerian clergymen who, although horribly burdened with literacy problems, are just dying to give me money. All I need to do is to e-mail my bank details. Then there are all those mysterious lottery wins I've had from draws I never entered ... Here is a selection of recent gems:-

It would be nice is everyone was sensible and didn't fall for these scams but you read of horror stories of people falling for them or even worse the romance one's where they shell out money for air tickets or visa's or something like that. Personally I think email systems should just stop all emails from Nigeria, that will effect everyone on Nigeria good as well as bad and then the Good might do something some about the bad ...

 

With rerouting ability, the scammers can send their email via another source. And it's not just Nigeria that these emails come from - Russia is just as bad, just not as well publicised.

 

Well having sent them my banking details I'm so excited... and can't wait to have all of my money transfered.:usr::hehe:
