I have one cat, a ginger and white female called Misty, though having now had her for just about a year and a half the name Nutter would have been more appropriate.

As fellow pet owners, are you careful what you put in your garden? I'm quite paranoid about choosing plants that could be dangerous and check as thoroughly as I can now before buying anything. I know lillies are particularly bad for cats and funnily enough have never liked them, the scent from some even give me a headache if someone has them on display indoors.

I have 2 cats Mavis who never really grew from being a kitten and is a total monster (always chasing the dog and insists on sleeping under the covers) Tigger who is a huge ginger cat but is scared of everything (even himself sometimes) and he never lost his kitten cry lol.

I also have Sadie our rottweiler cross who we found originally but once we tracked the owner down they didn’t want her so she ended up staying with us, she’s best friends with Mavis (they look very strange together) although Mavis does annoy her by constantly climbing on her, chewing her ears and stealing her bed)

And lastly we have Ethel & Marge the 2 guinea pigs which we inherited from my brother who are the cutest things ever although very noisy waddling around squeaking all day

My cats are Eclipse who is all black and 12 years old, Tangie a small tortie who is 8, and brother and sister Scamp & Izzy both black and white and were found in our back garden small and hungry at around 6 weeks old one Sunday evening last May, they still had blue eyes.

Most of the pix are taken on my phone so not the best quality and it's not that easy to take a photo of a completely black cat.

I have five Kittys, Luna, Turbo, Bronte, Sally and Henri.

Luna and Turbo (4yrs old) are brother and sister, Bronte and Sally are sisters (10yrs old), and Henri (14) is frightened of his own shadow. He's always been a nervous cat, but it was only really the arrival of Luna and Turbs that he seemed to calm him down. He's very affectionate to me and hub now, and will even steal himself to sit on someone elses lap if he's feeling brave enough.

            Luna.

We have 15 guinea pigs - yes 15..

We started with just 2, but then rescued a couple that were being sold as snake food.

We took in a few more that were unwanted and then one that was found roaming on the local park, one was left on our doorstep and so on....

They are all named and fed dry food and fruit/veg/hay every day.

Our last rescue one was one that was pregnant and has just given birth to 2 cute babies.

I must add that we are responsible and don't breed them, we are also at capacity so hopefully no one else will turn up with unwanted piggies lol, but that said if they we'd rather take them in than see them thrown in the canal...

I have 3 Springer Spaniels, 1 Cocker Spaniel and a Springer/Cocker X, four of whom are rescue dogs, they are:

Merlin - bit thick, likes to protect his harem, knows how to chase a ball - but no idea how to bring it back (Amber does that for him).

Amber - teeny weeny Spaniel, loves her ball, nervous of strangers - ambition in life....to live on my knee (and have her ball in her mouth at the same time).

Bella - been with us since January, came into rescue at 9 months - adorable, but boy is she hard work, we've just had our first session with a gun dog trainer, so we'll see what happens.

Zuri - the old lady and THE BOSS in a quiet, “I'll hit the deck if I'm unsure” type of way, favourite thing in the world, nose down one hundred miles an hour with ears stuck firmly in her lugs so she can't hear us.

And finally Loki, the only one we’ve had from a pup - needs to have a conversation about everything we ask of her, and then reluctantly does it 5 minutes later - wouldn’t swap her for the world though!

Not strictly my pet, My sons dog but I look after her sometimes. She hid under the table when they brought her home (she was rescued from being put out) but she is happy and confident now. She is the most gentle little dog you could ever meet. Her name is Princess.
