I'll resurrect it again, as I get asked a lot too.

They need good light (but not full sun), water, humidity and heat. Potting medium is ordinary m/p compost, with added grit to stop rot. Best grown in a shaded corner of a conservatory with the UV filtering roof panels.
And remember that it will get big - mine spanned a metre and a half.

As far as seeds go, they must be fresh to get reliable germination. Even then they can take nine months or more to germinate. Seed to bloom is said to be up to five years. I tried from seed several times and only germinated one, which I killed due to a lack of free draining compost (hence the grit).

I bought a plant out of bloom Sal in the end, but follow the above and they're easy and well worth growing once at least.
I wonder how mature the tuber is for £4.50 though...........

This is my most favourite of all time along with the white version of this plant. One day I hope to be a good enough gardener to grow this. It's absolutely gorgeous...

Stuff I have had from Anglia Bulbs has been of decent size. Order processing a bit chaotic (some items back ordered, but not indication - e.g. Pick List / To Follow list) - in the package. One items short-shipped (dunno if they were out of stock, or cock-up, will find out when the back-ordered stuff arrives). They are very obliging and keen though. Dunno if new startup, or established company? Might be good on plants, not so good on admin, for which I could forgive them :)

Wayback Machine first saw Anglian Bulbs website on Feb 2011, but the content it captured (at that time) referred to a 2010 Catalogue, so they've been on the web for 3 years, at least.
