I agree Lyn, I think entrants should put the originals up as it helps show the development of the enhancing

 

Lyn and Kate ... I did PM Marley about this problem last week as in my opinion you cannot make a comparison to make a judgmental decision and will not vote for these photographs.

Last month there was an entry that was not even a photograph but done strictly by artistic processes. I found this totally out of the boundaries of the rules and did not even consider it in my voting as it was not an enhanced photograph taken by the person in the month of the competition.

 

So,hear we go again,a bit of fun and big brother(sister) strikes again.
Yes, you use your right to vote or not.....It's not as though there is a big prize.......Is there.

 

hardly big brother... just a simple basic requirement that makes the competition make sense.

 

I'm surprised you feel that way.
What is the point of having rules if they are not adhered to.
I might as well enter a photo my brother took on his holiday in January for next month.

 

I am guilty! I didn't check out the rules at all, nor did I even know there was a theme for this month. I do apologise!!!! I would be happy to delete my entries, but cannot see how to do so.

Just to apologise for not being about for the August votes... :o I thought the photos were amazing. I have been settling my 2 kids back into school - one just starting for first time and I have started a new job after 6 years of being a mum. And it's a job with loads of complicated finance systems! My garden looks a bit bedraggled as I have not been giving it much tlc...

Hi everyone. Was just wondering if anybody could tell me how I enter a photo into the competetion please?
Do I just post it in the September thread or am I too late now? Are there any special rules I need to know or anything?

Does one vote on technical merit or just the enjoyment of the photo

I would have thought enjoyment as how can a none tog vote on techincal merit ?

I would like to contribute but embarrased to submit alongside obvious experienced togs
