    Hi

Best thing I can do to answer that question and hopefully help you, is totake a picture of them for you. I will do it in the morning and post it here.

Yes. Without doubt the storm braces do help to strngthen the tunnel frame work. Let me do some research for you and get some pictures. I will find some of my old posts and post links for you. Hope that will help.

    Regards

    Chopper.

Chopper; I look at those pics of your poly tunnel with great envy....oh I wish I had the space for something like that; and my wife probably does too.

I have plants everywhere at the mo, bedroom window, kitchen window, on kitchen cupboard, coldframe, mini plastic greenhouse and so and so on ha ha ha, my wife thinks I'm nuts..

    Well done..

Oh one interesting note from many years ago; my grandad used to have a small poly tunnel in his back garden and had open ground to plant straight in to, which he dug in rotted horse manure - you should have seen the size of some the mushrooms that grew; like dinner plates they were!!!!!

    Hi

Sorry to take so long to get back with this. Rather than take pictures of mine, here is a linkto the company that I bought my tunnel from. This will take you direct to the parts you were asking about.

Hope its ok with admin and moderators to post a link to a commercial website?

Spares, parts and accessories: First Tunnels

So you can see for yourself how the costing is worked out and what mine cost, I have the following.

Tunnel is 30 X 14 feet. Anchor plates, wooden base, left side vent kit, wide doors both ends, crop bars, staging supports for both sides, storm braces, ground cover.

I called First Tunnels a couple of times to ask questions. Very professional. Polite, friendly and really know thier stuff. They told me everything I would need to build my tunnel would be in the kit. They were right, most of the smaller items like nail plates etc, there was actually more than I needed. When the budget allows, I will be buying another one from them. (Have to sell a lot of plants before that happens!!) Very happy with mine, worth every penny.

    Regards

    Chopper

      Manic month

Things in the polytunnel are going nuts at the moment. Everything seems to need picking out, potting on or hardening off, it takes a couple of hours each day to sort all the jobs that need doing. But... we have got peas, cauliflower, lettuce, radish and spring onions all ready to eat.. wonderful thing !!!!!

      Thats great Chopper,

Start saving your jam jars & stuff now, you'll need them when the pickle/chutney/sauce season is upon us (Thats the season that starts when the freezer gets full up:heehee:)

Don't seem to be enough hours in the day down here either. Been potting on, planting, digging, weeding & hardening off as well as earthing up, making compost, liquid feed (both seaweed & land plant based)

At least we're eating from the plot again :dbgrtmb:
