I hear you :( Hopefully it will be sorted now.

What I have been seeing since the change-over is green, so hopefully the colour change you are seeing is a positive indication :thumb:

My guestimate is that because the site used to run on the same software that it is now running on (again) that you may have cookies left over from the old site that conflict with the settings for the revised site, and hence it is all "knickers-in-twist".

Clearing the cookies will sort that (if that IS indeed the problem)

    Probably too late but:

Tools : Options : Privacy : "Remove individual cookies"

    Scroll down to

    gardenerscorner.co.uk

and expand that part of the tree. Click on the first cookie listed and press REMOVE COOKIE. The next cookie will then be highlighted, so keep pressing REMOVE COOKIE until all the ones for gardenerscorner.co.uk have been removed.

Closing your browser and re-opening it at that point may also help (but that's just "Belt & Braces")

You can change the colour of the page by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and in the left hand corner is the drop down menu for the appearance for the season. This is where it used to be on the original version.

I think it's the wrong type of code.

    .php isn't supported on here.

It says php..but is encapsulated in img tags...which is allowed on here. The target ( the .php) produces the image remotely and away from GC altogether....all thats displayed here is the img

Besides, in kristens sig its a gif...and that also shows as a link. From your list Daisees, gif is supported...but alas it does not show. Again, I checked all this out before asking the question.

Doesn't matter if it is encapsulated in tags, it's still not on the list of supported images.
Have you tried running it though PB, I/S or TP and making it a .jpeg?

As for the GIF, I've found that if the file size is too large the image won't load though the url might.
You can see the maximum allowed file size is only 19.5 KB.

No, your quite wrong on that one...its does not matter that its php, as what is delivered is an img..click the php link see the magic of the image that wont show here as imgs are NOT working in sigs.

Then please see the Photobucket link...thats a .gif..in the img tags so everything is correct with that...then also view the size...1.39KB...thats way inside size requirements.

Images within signatures are NOT working.

I see what you're getting at Steve R

Your .php file will display here in the message, but not in your sig:

Same with your 1.43KB, 300 x 50 pixels(?) gif file:

I checked to see if they'd display as pics (as above rather than as links) in my sig (using preview) and they wouldn't.

Could there be a different lists for permitted attachments and permitted files for viewable images and if so could the latter differ for within the message and within the signature?

Yup...it'll be a usergroup permission setting I reckon. Which is why it'll work for admins Marley and Daisees..but not normal users (admins default settings is everything on a new install)

    Steve...:)
