    Good morning everyone,

It's very bright and sunny but cooler this morning.

I got quite a bit done in the garden yesterday afternoon and shall carry on today

One of our sweetcorn plants has been chomped off at a height of 3ft . I'm rather puzzled because there is no evidence of the 2ft that is missing . Also, rabbits have been eating the leaves on the runner beans. I've had a word with Oscar about that but he seems to think that it has been too warm for him to bother going down to the bottom of the garden. I told him that I shall cut down on his food if he doesn't start hunting again - but I don't think he believed me.

The dentist I saw is a new one as my one has retired. He seemed very nice, and even nicer when he said that everything was fine and he doesn't need to see me for another year. £17 wasn't too bad aprice to pay for that :D.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning Shiney,Louise and everyone,

Louise,Shiney has less sleep than us as he has a really big garden so needs to spend more time than us keeping it nice and tidy:love30:,well thats my theory anyway:mute:

Shiney, that does sound strange with the sweetcorn an d I have no idea what or who could have done it.:scratch:You could have done with Woo in your garden as I am sure with his night vision he would have seen the culprit, although having said that something a few eeks ago excavated a large hole down near our Rhubarb and there wasn't any bunny droppings and it was quiet large so it is a mystery as to what was going on there:DAny news about that heart attack victim yet?

Another beautiful day has begun so have lots to do this morning if i can manage it then this afternoon will take a couple of hours out to watch the tennis but no doubt I shall be podding peas or topping and tailing gooseberries in between:D

Hope you all have a good day:sunny:

    Good morning everyone,

Louise, some of the regulars on here would be able to tell you - just ignore what Kandy has said :D. I only usually sleep between two and four hours a night and some times less than an hour. I've been like that all my life and was a rigth nuisance as a kid. :heehee:

Kandy, I think it may have been a deer that chomped the sweetcorn

It's another lovely sunny day but the temperature is only 52F at the moment. Oscar is already sunbathing, five pheasants are at the bird feeder but the other birds aren't doing much singing.

We have some friends coming to stay for the weekend and they are expected to arrive before 10 a.m. They always like to leave home early to miss all the traffic on their 110 mile journey. Usually when we go anywhere we don't leave until 10.00

I'll pop out and finish trimming the lawn edges, hang up the hanging baskets that have been completely redone (they have been blooming very well through thewinter and spring and were chock full of lovely pansies - Mrs shiney has now collected the seeds from them), fill up the bird feeders, walk to the village to get the paper (we only get it for the TV paper) and do a few odd jobs before they arrive.

Oscar has been told there are visitors coming and he is getting himself all cleaned up

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Another lovely day out there although it is only 58f at the moment it is still quiet pleasant.:sunny:

Shiney we like to leave as early as possible whenever we go anywhere as we like to fill as much as the day as possible and especially when we go away so we can get to the destination quicker and start the holiday sooner arther than later, but we do at times get stuck in traffic as some of the other drivers just don't know how to read the road conditions:DHope your friends arrived safely and that you all had a good time together:)

Anyway,my friend sent me through a photo of yet another large moth which I was going to put up on here to show you all but I can't find it at the moment on the computer so will have to see if Mr K can find it when he gets up.I would love to have got some film of my friend screaming when her son showed her it when it was perched on his dressing gown:heehee:The eight year old daughter who fears nothing had to deal with it and i have texted my friend to tell her it will probably lay eggs close by and then there will be loads more of them in a few years time.I haven't heard from her since:mute::heehee:

I missed the tennis yesterday as we were over at the alloment harvesting fruit and veggies and then last night spent the evening podding peas while Mr K started on the gooseberries:D

    Have a good day everyone:sunny:

    Good morning Kandy and everyone,

We had a very good day with our friends and I shall go to the summerhouse and wake them with a cuppa soon. Whilst we were having afternoon tea in the garden there was a beautiful hummingbird moth flitting about. It didn't keep still long enough to be photographed - but I did get a lot of photos of empty spaces :loll:.

Just going to wake Mrs shiney take her some hot water to drink. :dbgrtmb:

    Have a great day :D

      Good morning everyone,

Once again we have a beautiful morning :dbgrtmb:.

We had a good day with our friends and at 9.00 p.m., after they went home, Mrs shiney and I went for a nice walk in the forest. A really lovely time for a walk :).

Unfortunately, the person who collapsed at the bridge club the other day died yesterday. I don't know when the funeral will be but I have another funeral of a bridge friend to go to next week. :cry3:

Today will be another busy day and I have a bridge league match tonight.

      Have a great day :D
