    Good morning everyone,

Louise hope you are feeling a lot better this morning after Shineys song and dance routine:D

Nice to see you again Moyra and hope you are starting to feel a bit better with the back problems.:thumbsup:If i took the honey it would probably send my sugar levels through the roof:D

Well we had some really hot weaher yesterday and it was up to 81f before i went to the lottie and was still the same when i got back home but it is cooler this morning and rain is forecast for 7am so will see what transpires:rolleyespink:

Shiney i don't think there are many people in the country who are saving any money at the moment because the interest rates are treetreetreetree and because the prices of every day stuff keeps going up and wages are going down then the money is needed just to survive. We would definetly save if the interest rates were as good as they were back in the early eighties. As we have no family we don't go out for meals orbuy designer stuff but save a little bit each week so we can have a week away in our caravan every few months so we can get some sea air inside us and to help the local economy of the places we visit plus see some nice wildlife etc. What more could we want :D

Have a nice warm day everyone:yess:

I'm still trying to recover from all that dancing yesterday - but the singing voice is OK. I didn't take a photo of Oscar holding his paws over his ears as I was too busy dancing :heehee:

        Good morning everybody,

It started drizzling at 6.45 this morning and has kept it up, on and off, since then. I was going to mow the grass fairly early this morning as it was too hot yesterday to do it. I suppose I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning now - if it isn't raining then.

I'll go out and pick more beans and then weigh and bag them up to take to the bridge club this afternoon. I'll also take some bags of plums for sale.

We had some friends from Hong Kong come and visit us yesterday and it was good to chat and get up to date on things :dbgrtmb:. I'll also be seeing our friends from Bali that we stayed with the previous Christmas :hapfeet:

It's just started to rain heavily, so if it keeps up, I'll have to put on my waterproofs to pick the beans :rolleyespink:

        Have a great day :D

          Hi Kandy,Shiney, Louise and Penny.

We didn't get the rain south of the county, could have done with it though.

Kandy, of course I should have realized. My docs very pleased with my sugar levels these days so that one less thing to worry about. I guess it is because I am not a lover of sweet things. Cheese used to be my downfall and salty savoury things. I am going to a presentation at the hospital on the 25th on how to look after my back! If they tell me to use my knees I shall scream because I have already worn them out protecting my back. Lol. I have a mammogram on the 17th and then an appointment with the Renal care unit on the 31st. I shall be glad to see August out. How's hubby now Kandy?

          Good morning everyone,

          Louise your talkative this morning:D

Shiney did that mean you went to bed at 3.15pm and got back up at 6.00pm:heehee:We picked our first plums last night but there are a lot that are rotting on the trees due to them being so crowded so we think we should have thinned them out a bit :rolleyespink:

Moyra,I have never been a great lover of honey, preffering the taste of chocolate instead:yess::DGlad to hear the docs are pleased with your results. What was your latest Hb results if you don't mind me asking?Mine was 5.6% in April down from 5.7% last October so she dropped the tablets{one a day now} by half but since then can't lose any more weight but won't put me back up to two as it will make the levels go even lower and that won't help my health. She said as long as i keep below 7% then i shouldn't get complications:happydance:Good luck with the presentaion and also the mammogram and renal care later on.I have those mammogram things done and the results have always been good and i think they are a good thing to catch nasty things early on.:D

Anyway,my cold is still giving me gip when i cough and mr Kandy is now complaining of a sore throat so i wonder who he has been kissing to catch that:heehee:We raced over to the allotment last night to water the stuff as it was so hot and saw black clouds looming. We just got outside the gate and the rain started so had to chase it all the way home as i had a line full of washing hung out:DWe had quiet a bit of rain so at least it saved me having to water the garden which is agood thing but it has brought out the slugs and snails:mad:

          Have a good day everyone:sunny:

My mother always told me "if you've nothing interesting to say keep quiet" :WINK1:

Not a lot going on, been up since 6 and am just wombling around doing all the usual morning 'stuff' - nothing exciting though !!!

          Good morning everyone,

Kandy, it meant that I went to bed at 3.15 p.m. and got up at 6 a.m. :heehee:. Isn't that what us oldies do? :loll:

Louise, your mother may have been right but it never stopped me :loll:

Moyra, I hope things are improving for you :dbgrtmb:

Yesterday was another hot and sticky day and the rain stopped quite abruptly about 9 a.m. with the sun coming out and heating things up very quickly. I got another £16 for the charity by selling the beans and plums at the afternoon bridge club :dbgrtmb:. When I got home from there I mowed some of the back garden before cooking dinner - home made chicken soup (made the day before) and roast shoulder of lamb (£4.50 a kg) with roasted new potatoes flavoured with rosemary and freshly picked runner beans. Yummy!!! :yess:

I'll mow some of the front garden this morning and hope to do it before it gets too hot. As my back has still not recovered properly from when I hurt it months ago I hope Tracey is going to turn up today and do a load of the weeding. I regularly sort out the bindweed, mare's tail, rose bay willow herb and similar perrenials but find it too awkward to do much of the hands and knees stuff among the plants and veggies. I've just had a look out in the garden and Tracey is on hands and knees working away  so I had better go and make a coffee for her. A coffee every hour keeps her happy. :happydance:

          Have a great day :D
