I've noticed a few other regular posters have gone AWOL, Dave W and Jazmine - there may be others. (Edit = Boghopper too)

We don't want to lose anyone, so if anyone has any other advice then please post it here. Even if someone is logged off they should still be able to read these posts as a guest.

This is the best advice (copied from Kristen's helpful post on another thread) on how to fix the problem if you use Firefox:

Tools : Options : Privacy : "Remove individual cookies"

    Scroll down to

    gardenerscorner.co.uk

and expand that part of the tree. Click on the first cookie listed and press REMOVE COOKIE. The next cookie will then be highlighted, so keep pressing REMOVE COOKIE until all the ones for gardenerscorner.co.uk have been removed.

Closing your browser and re-opening it at that point may also help (but that's just "Belt & Braces")

Can someone post up how to do it in Interner Explorer please :help:

Thanks John, I should have done that, I think you need to click on "show cookies"

Looking at the current statistics - "Currently Active Users: 802 (104 members and 698 guests)"

Is that the normal proportion of members to guests?

Have had another go at clearing cookies (better at clearing real ones than virtual ones) so here goes.

That does look very odd, if memory serves there were only a handful of members logged in at any time - 10 or 20. I wonder if this is part of the problem?

Well hopefully Ziggy and Clare are back with us

Oh Ziggy, I am soo relieved to see you back online! I asked Rich and he said the 'problem' I thought I saw was so problem at all, that we just needed to give the system time to reset our individual cookies. Clearing out the cookies from the previous MyBB forum is a necessary action too. You won't remember but we had the exact same problem when we moved from the original site to the vBulletin. But Nathan and I had even less idea about it then - but we're learning!

    Anyway, welcome back!

    :dbgrtmb:Cheers Daisees,

Need my GC fix, otherwise have to talk to the Mrs:gaagh:

I told her to put her coat on the other night, she asked "Are you taking me out then?" I said, "No, i'm turning the heating off."

    Help! I need somebody!

    .
Me to, have given up trying to keep logged in!

Using both IE or Firefox it makes me log in each visit, then after moving from one page to another it logs me out.

I have used cc cleaner to no avail!

And am stuck with that truely awful summer background, when I choose any of the others, it immediately changes back as soon as I click on another page.

Have just come on to see if there were any fixes posted, but none to help me!

    Cheers

Ccleaner has deleted your option to stay signed in i'm afraid, you'll have to sign in every visit now. I have had to ever since I first ran it. Its done the same with my e mail.
