Speaking of cats, I'm having been having great difficulty in writing this evening's postings as one of my cats, Jenny, has been sitting in front of the the Monitor and watching, with great interest, me type. I've got a stiff neck from have to lean around her to see the screen.!!

That's brilliant!!! Better to have your garden smelling of your own human waste than that of cats eh, Clueless?!!!

The cats round here are pretty persistent - maybe I should try emptying my sons potty out of the window to deter them! Of course he'll have no friends as we'll be known for shouting 'incoming' and throwing poo - but at least we won't have any cat poop in the garden!!!!!

    That's so funny!

    I wouldn't recommend number 2s.

The trick is, the wee doesn't smell (to us humans at least), because it is quickly absorbed into the ground. Cat's have much, much more sensitive noses than we do.

This is like going back to the days of yore when walking in the narrow streets of towns was livened up by residents throwing buckets of pee and whatever out of the front bedroom window into the street. Now see what you've started, Clueless!!

Funny you mention that, its reminded me of something. A (much) older bloke once told me that when 'walking out with a lady', it is customary for the gentleman to walk on the side of the woman such that he was between her and the houses. He said that the reason was so that the lady was less likely to be on the receiving end if someone empties the guzunda as they were passing. It did cross my mind however that if the chap is between the lass and the houses, then she is nearest to the curb, and so the bloke is safer in the event of a runaway horse and cart.

Armandii .. so what's new? ... cats take over laptops, computers, keyboards, laps, fingers attempting to type ... :rolleyespink:

John, just love that pic ... :heehee:

VP ... I'd say more 'modern day' than what you quoted however I shall have to say midway between then and you ... the men should walk on the gutterside of the street to save the ladies from getting splattered with mud or getting run over by a car that may jump the kerb ...

I always thought the principle of "Lady's first" was a gentleman could find out if there was any trouble around the corner or on the other side of the door.

The tradition was for the man to walk on the outside. Most of the houses had the upper storey protrude out from the lower storey therefore the woman was protected. Top hats were worn so that they protected the man. The pee used to land on the 'top' of the hat and as it was quite large it deflected most of the incoming. :gaagh:
