I decided to cut mine today, but I dont have any means of weighing it.

I'm going to take it to work on Monday and see if we can sort out a method of getting it onto some scales.

A relatively easy method of weighing pumpkins that are so big they obscure the display on bathroom scales is to borrow a second scale, straddle the pumpkin across the both weighing platforms and add the two weights displayed on each indicator to determine the total weight, but best to put a board across them (notched around the displays if required) and deduct the weight of the board or zeroise beforehand.

Thanks Steve, I did the OTT method a few weeks ago while it was still attached, it came out at 130lbs.
Its not grown hardly since then, so to get it on some scales would be interesting to see how near the estimate is.

Right, I weighed the pumpkin today according to Scrugee's instructions.

            This is the result.

Not the most accurate of scales I agree, and we zeroed them after placing the board on top.

In the region of 165lbs give or take 5lbs I would say.

Going down there tommorow, if we can't blag some scales we'll have to use the IUD method.
