You could always find a stuffed bird of prey and fix it on the tree........sounds slightly[?] daft I know, but it might work. The bird of prey would be guaranteed to be quiet.:D

I quite like Bob Flowerdew as he has learnt gardening purely by experience and common sense, lolimac. Having said that certain sections of his garden do look like recycling dumps:D:heehee:

I know I said the idea was a bit fanciful but in actual fact I know it's not, because in the late 60 and early 70's, while in the RAF, I used "rough shoot" on several farms in Suffolk and Norfolk. In return for free cartridges we used to shoot the Wood Pigeons that in those days were so numerous as to be listed as a serious pest. They could decimate crops and while they used to fly in they ate so much that they couldn't fly and use to walk out!! Anyway, at least three farmers that I knew used stuffed birds of prey that they'd bought from just about everywhere and stuck them on hedges, trees etc, and they reckoned it worked to a fair degree.:D:coffee:

Just got back from Taunton, there is a Owl stuck on top of the multi storey car park, probably to scare Druggies.

With the curlers & Norah Batty Stockings?:D

I've caught out both Sis's cats with my plastic Pigeon:heehee: They stalked up to within 2 feet before realising it was fake, then tried to walk away as if nothing had happened.
