Up in time to just be for the vows began. Love her dress. Such a beautiful couple. They look so much in love. So perfect. Love the maid of honour dress also. Interesting hats on some ladies.

What an brilliant day, intimate and classic by turn. Wonderful weather too!

    Goodness me! :D
Lets agree to differ for now with regard to assimilation and integration; the reasons and influences behind people's tendencies to group together are many and varied and best discussed on another occasion.

Through sport, and by virtue of the schools I attended I have come across various HRHs in informal relaxed and fun settings. I can claim no special sights into the Princes' characters, but I really dont think its over stepping to say William and Harry are both considered decent, fun, hard working people. Surely most reasonable people would conceed that?

Personally I admire the fact both William and Harry serve their country in the military. OK it was expected and therefore not a choice; however the manner in which they have both carried out their duties and the commitment they have shown to their colleagues is respected by their peers- and that I DO happen to know for sure. To dispute their commitment to their work would be churlish.

I also dont think there is anything particularly controversial in wondering why a fit, able bodied and educated person isnt working. As you've demonstrated, people are quick enough to mention other fit people of working age choosing not to work.

Even the very poshest Hoorays and Ruperts in my sporting circle have jobs unless they have enough funding and sponsorship to see them through to the Olympics next year.

In any case having the 'temerity' to mention it doesn't make me or my friends prejudiced against Kate! :D

Its been a lovely day. I hope everyone has enjoyed whatever they chose to do! :D

What an absolutely lovely wedding!!!! I was glued to the telly, Kate looked beautiful, loved her wedding gown, her sister Philippa looked stunning as well, did I see her holding Harrys' arm hmmm..............!! William driving himself & Kate to Clarence house was a really nice touch.
Thought Beatrice & Eugenie could have made a bit more effort and thought that Samantha Cameron should definitely have worn a hat!! but everyone else looked stunning!!! gonna watch it again tonight!!! :yahoo:

Beatrice and Eugenie made us all laugh out loud. OMG!! Their outfits- their hats!

My Uncle laughed until he cried. He kept rewinding the Sky plus! Well until my mother told him off!

Catherine looked wonderful- the dress being somewhere between Grace Kelly and the wedding dress from the Sound of Music.

OMG they look like Cinderella's ugly sisters.
      What were they thinking.
Who let them dress like that.
      The poor girls.

Is there some special reason why the one on the right is wearing comedy antlers or had she just got the wrong gig?

        Ugly sisters indeed!

As for me, I was glued to the tv all day! You got to admit, no-one does this ceremonial stuff quite like us Brits!

And there are some images that are unforgettable

The kiss was a telly kiss if ever I saw one. That's not to say that it was a bit fake, just that it didn't exactly look natural, but then to be fair, they must have been aware that millions of people were watching.

There was a bit on telly earlier, where it was reported that William and Kate had gone off somewhere else on their own between the ceremony and the reception, "for a short rest". Is that what they call it these days:D:thumbsup:

From a gardeners point of view I really did like the idea of having the trees inside Westminster Abbey.
