A thought occurred to me. Kate's dad must have had really mixed feelings when the engagement was first announced. On one hand he'd have been proud as punch that his daughter is marrying the future king. On the other hand I bet he was worried sick about the prospect of fulfilling the tradition of the bride's dad paying for the wedding:)

Has anyone got a pic of the fed up bridesmaid looking terribly grumpy on the balcony?

She put her hands over her ears because of the crowd noise! She was ADORABLE!

Found it! Her name is Grace van Cutsem! I bet her family never let her forget it!!

Kates dress was beautiful, very elegant. Anything else would have swamped her I think.
As for for Beatrice and Eugenie, do they ever look in a mirror?
I would also like to know what Harry was saying to Wills, especially at the alter when Harry passed some quip while he was watching Kate walk down the aisle. Did anyone manage to lip read?

      Congratulations to Kate and William.

I noticed this and when I watched it again I think Harry said "Wait till you see her, she looks gorgeous" And she certainly did!!:dbgrtmb:

I was on the treadmill today and watching Joan Rivers being her usual understated self. She broke me in half from laughing and I almost damaged an ankle.

On seeing the comedy antlers Joan exclaimed- "Its brave of her to wear her IUD on her head."

Apparently the trees are going to be taken to Highgrove to be planted in an arbour so people can go and enjoy the idea of being among the trees that adorned the Abbey.

And all the other button holes and flowers were going to different places - can't recall where and for what. But it's all being recycled.

Would have loved a bit of that cake! Yum yum!

Plus the programmes they were selling on the street yesterday are on Ebay in droves! The first couple sold an hour or so ago for £70!!! I'm sitting ready to snipe on one that ends in 10 mins and is around £20 thus far. I want one for a dear friend in the States who is royalty mad!

I could sell your friend some very nice, small metal disks that have the queen's head pressed on one side, and various images on the other, and some nice latin words pressed around the edges. £10 each should do it:heehee:

I remember it very well .

It was not only popular at the end of the Great War but had a revival in WWII. I used to have a 78 copy of the original Bill Murray version. It wasn't very good :heehee:

I've still got a stack of 78's in the cupboard.

I have it on an important german channel watched.
I do not mention the channel's name not to advertise it (I can only say that the channel's name means - in english - "Second German Television" :-) )
Apart from the german english pronounciation (e.g. "live from VESTminster APPEY, GROSSBRITANNIEN" ), it was a Great Event. An Event, the British people should be proud of.
As well as proud to be British.
It was also funny to hear from the German commentators their sort of "claim" of the event because of the german origin of the "HAUS of Windsor" ("HAUS", not "House"... :-) ).
They also add that Queen Victoria used to speak german...
Then they remark the football rivalry between England UND DEUTSCHLAND...
But they had a great admiration for the Event and they wanted to underline that there is a great friendship between the English and the Germans... (not so when they play football, I argue... :-) ).
The claim itself of german origins of the House of Windsor reveals a will by those german commentators to be part of, to feel and to belong to the Event.
Indeed a Great Event that the german television covered also with wonderfull aerial views of the Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, the Horse Parade, the Mall, Saint James' Park and Buckingham Palace.

That's interesting, Maksim! And after all the Windsors are really the Saxe-Coburg Gothas. And the Mountbattens are really the Battenbergs. Both families changed their names to sound more English.
