EDIT: This appears to be because sigs on post pre-migration to new forum software did not carry through and how to reinstate them is detailed on post #7 below.

A short while ago I noticed signatures (including my own) were not appearing under posts.

I know there's an option to turn them on & off in User CP so, despite not having changed anything there for a while, I confirmed it was still set to display them. I even turned it off & back on again.

What I then noticed was sigs are showing on some Boards, but not on others. For example have a look at the first post on this thread and Marley Farley's sig is missing (for me at least) + Choppers', Ziggy's, etc.:

    http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/poly-tunnel-gardening/30959-choppers-poly-tunnel.html

But on this thread Marley Farley's (and evebody else's) sig is displaying:

EDIT: It seems this was caused by viewing old posts - see note at top of page + post #7.

Ah, if you are talking about the sigs pre this last migration, then that could be because the other board was different it was BB & this is VB..!! :D Very different so not compatible....

As long as it is working fine now that is what counts Scrungee.. People can reset them now if they are not working... :WINK1:

Yes it's the pre migration ones and I've just worked out how to sort them out:

Just have to list all of my previous posts, select 'Edit', 'Go Advanced', 'Additional Options', 'Miscellaneous Options' and check the 'Show your signature' box:

For every individual post, so x 300ish!

So might only be worthwhile for some specific threads.

Or you could take the short route and go to User Control Panel > Edit Options > Thread Display Options and make sure the three boxes are ticked

But that doesn't help for any posts BEFORE the change back to vBulletin ... none of my old posts show my signature.

Exactly the point I made in post #7 above.

Only 5,000 posts for you to individually correct Kristen!

Yup, unless I misunderstood something perhaps?

I can call up an old post and set it to "Show signature" - have I got that right?

It would be laborious way of setting all my past-posts to show my signature (plus extrapolate for other folk who've been here a while, and wibble'd on in one-or-two!! posts over the years)

Ahem - does it really matter? :coffee: If they are old posts it's unlikely anyone is looking at them now.
