No its not too late, you can still sow anything even potatoes. If u still want some seeds I can buy them here in my local shop, and post them to you.

I don't know about Impatians, but Petunia is relatively slow to germinate, and quite slow to develop initially. Once it gets to a reasonable size it then gets a shift on.

In my opinion you will need a month from sowing to pricking out, and another month from pricking out to have a decent sized plant that you can plant-out. That would be starting from a sowing made in mid March in the UK, so being warmer in France, and later in the season, you might shave a little time off that - but still, if it takes 6 weeks that's quite a long time starting from the end of May :(

    hello John
the timings Kristen gives are accurate , also I would work on planting to flowering of 13 weeks for petunias and prob similar for impatiens. But in the sud de France you will have them flowering into early November. So you are probably just in time

I don't blame you for being seriously fed up about this. Another year perhaps you should try a different company.

I've just bought some seeds from ebay, two different sellers, They were ordered at midnight on Wednesday and I had them on Friday morning. Can't fault them on service!

Go on - Name & Shame.

Presumably as the seeds are collected from LAST YEARS growth, they would be available for shipping immediately on receipt of the order.

Unlike companies that ship Plugs etc. they can't b;ame the weather.

As Lad suggested there are helpful people here that could help you out.
