    Hi Joolz

I don't like perfumes which are too sweet and flowery - at least, not on me. I stick to a Lancome fragrance which dates from the swinging sixties which is just called 'Eau de Lancome'. It's zingy and lemon verbena-y and particularly great for summer.

I used to love Yardleys 'freesia' but they discontinued it years ago and I have never found anything else which I like as much.

Down the years I've often gone back to L'air Du Temps by Nina Ricci. A flowery perfume as I don't like heavy, sweet perfumes.

Flowery fragrances don't suit me one bit, but a friend has an Avon one called 'Roses. Roses' - don't know if they still do it - but I have walked into her office and actually looked round for the vase of roses, until she said it was her perfume.
