On Friday a new programme "Love Your Garden" presented by Alan Titchmarsh is beginning a run on ITV. He will be joined by a team of "experts" on growing your own food, wildlife and flowers.
It starts at 8.00 just before Monty on the beeb so a whole hour of gardening to look forward to.

I'll give it a go. I know Alan has been a bit overexposed on TV but I do like him, and he is a 'proper' gardener, unlike Monty Don, to whom I cannot warm!

Can't wait, also looking forward to an hour of gardening to watch. I like both Alan and Monty, so can't wait! It'll be interesting to see their different styles :dbgrtmb:

I'll put it on to record and give it a go, too.

      Great.:dbgrtmb:

All I need now is for Quest to switch from showing Total Fishing with Matt Hayes to a decent fishing program then all the bases will be covered.

I can't seem to get away from Alan Titchmarsh. Has too many fingers in too many pies imo.

And what's wrong with Matt Hayes, Ziggy:scratch::cry3: What other fishing program is there?, don't tell me you like he who kisses fish???

I think you're right, JJ, Alan has gone from being a good gardener and presenter to a media success who has dabbled in many other business aspects and has perhaps, dare I say it, lost his roots:D in gardening. Having said that his personality and huge fan club will make this new program a success.

Yes I'm getting a bit fed up with Matt Hayes as well.

I like Monty Don glad he is back with us.
