Sorting out some boxes and found 2 'Vintage' cameras. If anybody is interested in them they are welcome to have them for free. As far as I know both are in working order. The Brownie Cresta 3 has a user manual, a flash gun to attach plus one or two bulbs. The Olympus Trip has a carry case.

IMHO its pointless. Often people think "Vintage stuff must be worth a few quid" but they forget that "millions" of that item were made, and hundreds are still around.

In this case, the cresta brownie 3 there are TEN up for auction starting at 99p.
I know people start at 99p in the hopes it will go up, but I doubt it as there is one at £1.99 another for £2.00 neither of which have any bids.
So it will cost more in postage (ok the buyer pays that) than it is worth and you still have to get to the post office, doesn't seem worth it to me to auction it, sorry.

Sorry Jjordie but it would hardly be worth the time and effort, as had been pointed out millions were produced.
However if you can find one like this late 19th century Kodak it's another matter.

I'm not thinking of selling or ebay - just wondered if anybody was interested in freebies.
The Cresta is about 50 years old.

It's a shame to put them in the wheeliebin but seems like that's where they will go.

Dave - I will just look in my boxes to see if I can find one of those 19th Century Kodaks! :D

I should point out my reply was aimed more at joolz68, since he did say (As I first quoted)

At no time did jjordie mention auctioning them.

But, jjordie I have to agree, it does seem a waste putting them in a wheelie bin, but that's how things are now. I would also suggest Oxfam will not want it due to its age. (I just looked they sell most old cameras for almost nothing, and as yours were popular) ...... bin it is then.
