          Hi Simbad

I found out this was the record breaker in 2002 as Dr Betty Fretz paid $4,200 for it to be named Lady Betty Fretz the highest amount ever paid for a daylily this has now been beaten !!!.

I think me and you got a bargain I think mine was about £7 or £8 pound !!!

In about two/three years after my seeds have grown (all the way from Florida) I may have one or two that I can name mmmmm now lets think "Spruce" why not :heehee::heehee:
I will probably be a UFO or a spider variant

Well I didn't know that Spruce :), think I only paid £8 for mine too.
Well I still have a few in flower and this one was a free gift last autumn with a daylily order, can't find any info on it though so must be a european introduction, don't know why but had it in my head it'd be red , so a lovely surprise when it opened today, quite large flowers 7inch and around 32inch tall, its called 'Nierderhien Parade'.

You lucky thing Spruce bought my Huckleberry Candy back in spring and no sign of flowers this year.
I bought Lines of Splendor a couple of years ago it was only a tiny fan so this is its first year flowering, its making up for it by flowering twice:D, I love it too:love30:, the lady I bought it from lives in Scotland in an area where it gets really cold in winter and she lost hers.

Now I want all those Spruce:wub2:, except Starmans Quest got that one.
I'll have to sort out a list of ones that need splitting for spring, know you like the spiders so I'll have to see which are big enough to split a lot are still fairly new, know Alien does and maybe Watchyl Dancing Spider and Lady Neva.
