I can't help you, because whenever I get moss, I always end up just cutting out the area with it and then filling it in with compost and seeding it straight away..

Hi I asked this question most replies leave it a couple of weeks as the new grass seed will get burnt with the tratment so I did that I put it down two weeks ago and with all this rain and warmth all the patches are filling out

When you laid the seed did you lay it direct on the soil or mix it with compost before you laid , as I have read that some do mix, just wanting to know whats best and the quickest for results.

I don't think it matters if you pre-mix it with compost. Whenever I lay seed, I lay it direct to the soil and then rake it in and it normally takes about 2 weeks before it starts to fill out.

I am sure all methods work I did use a small fork to loosen the soil and poke some holes in and then I put the seed down and then sprinkled soil over the top , on one patch it looks like it has had a hair transplant as the ones in the holes must of rooted better :loll:

I used the hole poking method aswell! (When I aerated it) no idea if you're meant to fill it with seeds when you've done it, but turned out alright!
