    hiya everyone
unfortunately, after looking at the plant in question I don't have access to it to take a picture so hoping that you may be able to help by the description. I saw this plant in someone's container .. the flower part looks quite daisy-ish, but bigger, and pink. the leaves are quite narrow, the stalk quite thickish .. the interesting, and hopefully the part that can identify this plant is that the leaves have a sparkly look to them when looked at from certain angles, kinda like they have been sprayed with tiny droplets of water and they look quite rubbery/plastic (which they were not, honest lol)
does that description mean anything to anyone ? the plant was absolutely gorgeous and I would love to pop some into my garden. I did ask the owner of the container but she said it was given to her last year and she didn't know what was in it .. she said it died back last winter to nothing and she didn't expect it to come back this year but it appeared from nowhere lol
thank you for any help you can give.
    Eri x

Could be Dai, but here Gazanias are rarely pink .. usually orange/yellow sort of ..

No, they're not actually, those are the leaves of the Dianthus which is next to them.
Dianthus also grow like weeds here !!!

Ohhh yes my friends, and they came through a winter of minus 12 here too, a good recommendation, eh ?! :D

I think my favourites are the pale pink ones, then the cerise and then the white ones, if you can give them impoverished soil in a warm spot they'll do just fine, i have them in sun and shade.

I was staggered to see them reappear after the winter, i really was !
