Also known as "Jersey Royals" but we cannot call them that unless they are grown in Jersey. 56lb in total...

Looks like a good crop, I've just started harvesting my IKs grown in bags.

      How many did you plant?

5KG I think it was, 60 tubers give or take so roughly 1lb of taters per plant. A couple of pound where immediately swapped with another plot holder for half a dozen Duck eggs, which we had last night.

      Blimey,

      Nice one Steve.

When I saw your thread title, I thought it was a service you were offering:heehee:

Bit like those roadsigns you see, Cats eyes removed. I always want to write "while you wait" under those.

      I only planted 3 International Kidneys:cry3:

Thanks, that really helps with my comparison. I've just weighed the IKs harvested from two (B&Q rubble) bags yesterday, with two tubers per bag and they weighed 3lbs 15⅞ozs. So virtually nothing in it.

But if they hadn't been in bags (and taken into my poly tunnel) they would have been frosted by that -3°C I got back in May that knocked all my spuds right down the ground level even though they were covered up.

Just wondering why you have lifted them all Steve?

They had had 12 weeks, they had flowered and I needed the space John..other crops to go in and this part is already dug over.
