Tomato ... problem ?

    some varieties of mine are like that but mine are in pots,my toms look ok thou so im hoping we will be ok x

    It's a mild case of magnesium deficiency, you do need to treat them otherise it will get worse.

    This often happens just when you start feeding tomatoes especially if they are in growbags. It is easily treated by spraying with Epsom Salts (ask for Magnesium Sulphate at the chemists - this is the cheapest way to buy it). Dissolve ½ oz in a pint of water (20g/litre) and apply as a foliar spray each day for a week.

    You'll be surprised how quickly the plants recover :thumbsup:

      John's advice is the right way to go about it although I don't bother.

      As long as they are being fed properly they should recover with no trouble and the ocassional time it happens with mine I just cut the yellow leaves off. I always take the lower leaves off anyway.

      Went to local garden centre bought 2Kg of Epsom Salts (they sell everything loose)
      Spayed foliage tonight, and will water with solution tomorrow.
      Thanks for the help. I have another Tom Q .. but will post separately to help searches.
