... I've just checked on 'Metcheck' for the weather in my area for the remainder of this week. Now, I don't want to worry anyone but this is what it says:

    Thursday:
    13.00 - wind 268 mph, gusting to 321 mph
    16.00 - wind 297 mph, gusting to 356 mph
    19.00 - wind 399 mph, gusting to 406 mph
    22.00 - wind 341 mph, gusting to 409 mph

Friday isn't much better, because apparently we can expect gusts of up to 410 mph. Saturday there's a slight easing - down to 220 mph, but Sunday, back up to 330 mph.

Question - do you think I should get some guy ropes over the roof, stake my Crocosmia and Lychnis, or wait and see if it's a prismint? :help::help:

This is not on.... my spuds are not ready yet....
      But
We have a weather warning for Yorkshire tonight. Up to 2" of rain and heavy hail...
I dont belive it.. we have hit 30.5C today. Add that to a 400 mph wind would be very exciting. Must check my camera battery is fully charged..

So I go to West Bex on Thursday morning, it looks like I'd better not hang around until the evening high tide, especially as it's going to be a 300mph+ onshore wind, probably a bigger blow than when Chesil Beach was created.

Looks like I'll be needed back home on Friday to hold onto the garden gazebo & polytunnel at the plot:
