Hello, it's nice isn't it, so you know how lovely the weather has been today, hope more to come from now on, better than the rain we've had.

I hate hot weather! Especially in Salford where it's just humid and horrible... I love my rain :D

And there was me thinking it was test tube number 7 so they could ensure a female of the species.:WINK1:

I can not how ever pass judgement. My daughter's middle name is Cymbaline. Any ancient music lovers who like to rock may get my husbands abiding passion... :loll:

Harper isn't that bad for a name. I have heard much worse in my local supermarket I have no idea where they get the names from for some of the poor kids.
My daughter is a pre school teacher and she is still amazed at some of the names the parents come up with.
I'm sure it will be shortened or a pet name will be used anyway.
She is one lucky little girl.
Born into a family that is going to adore her and she will want for nothing. I don't think they have done a bad job with the boys. Good luck to them.

The internet has welcomed the artistic inspiration of the new Beckham baby.

There are some brilliantly funny photos about...

If we want to see the music connection with the HARPER name (or HARPA - different version of the same name), both names used in Iceland, there is a concert hall recently opened in Reykjavik called HARPA.

A SIXTEEN pound baby was born in Texas at the weekend, it was TWO FEET long!
The kid is colossal! Its head is 15 inches in circumference

"The average weight of a newborn baby is about 7 1/2 pounds, which is why it's shocking -- even in Texas -- that a woman has given birth to a 16-pound baby boy.

Two feet tall at birth, JaMichael Brown is the biggest baby ever born in the state of Texas.

"A lot of the stuff we bought him is too little," mother Janet Johnson told The Today Show."

Story and 1 minute video here: 16-Pound Baby Born In Texas

I used to work with a woman who had a 15 pound girl naturally. Ouch !!!!
She reckons it was a piece of cake giving birth to her only a short labour and born in no time at all.
My own 10 pound baby girl was made to look underweight in comparison. LOL:loll:
I do have to admit my natural birth was easy quick and straight forward too.
Whats the saying the bigger the better :rolleyespink:

Talking of questionable baby names, that 16lb baby's parents are called Janet and Michael... so they called the baby JaMichael.... hmmmm.

The kid keeps growing every time I look at him.
Look how long his arms are- he'd be an ace rower.

I agree totally although Harper is a girls name.. Harper Lee who wrote To kill a mockingbird was a female ;) but you're right its not 'feminine' sounding.
Mind you Shirley Crabtree got around his problem by learning to be hard lol Maybe Harper will have to do the same lol

Actually, I rather think Mrs Beckham would love to have a really silly name. She probably feels that Victoria is far too commonplace and curses her unimaginative parents for failing to christen her Binkybangledrops La-la Princess.

Heh, heh. Vicky, Dave and their dear little daughter, Harpie.

Yeah, not bad. Apart from all the money and bling I think they're probably on the right tack as parents, they seem to have sensible parents themselves.

They've held it all together so far in the face of all the temptations and pitfalls that extreme fame and wealth can bring.
