      Blimey,

At least they mentioned the gulf stream, not seen a single report in any media anywhere of the fact it diverted around the othe side of Greenland the winter before last when the harbours froze up:DOH:

Never known newspapers not want to report something before, unless they were told not to.

the gulf stream was messed up by the BP oil spill ....

in simple terms, they used a chemical called corexit which made the oil 'heavy' and the oil is still in the ocean, but it is on the bottom ... will take years to sort

there has been worldwide press censorship as regards this .... however, it is widely discussed on 'conspiracy' forums

So do we take it from this warning that we have another winter like the last one to look forward to? Oh Gee just what we need (NOT).

Maybe so, but I believe one recently departed newspaper would have reported it, press censorship or not...given the lows they will sink to to get info/stories.

      Steve...:)

thanks for posting this. It is worth being prepared.
I'm still struggling to sort out the plants in the garden after last years' freeze.

We seem to lurch from one disaster to another these days and they just love to use the weather.

I'm sure some weather "experts" said we were in for a stinking hot summer a few months ago.

As for the missing "jet stream", I wish it was missing NOW, that's whats bringing in the lousy weather.

They aint got a clue, but somehow manage to make money from speading doom and gloom. Its was big buisness just as soon as "global warming" was mentioned, then Hollywood made a few daft films and then it got colder so it became "climate Change".

They cant even forecast 24hrs on some occasions, and I've even known them say its sunny right now and we have had thick cloud.

Its worrying when they dont even know how it is now, let alone what next winter will be like.

In short, if we had a two week heatwave some "expert" would be out there stating we are becoming a desert and must expect hotter summers.

Perhaps not quite so simple the owner might have already lost on shares of bp oil company and didnt want to lose more if the shares nose dived.
All the "stories they let out" didnt affect them, pity they didnt use their tactics to release real news,of corruption nationally and internationally

It was a bit cool today Dai, overcast as well, but dry.

Only made 22C today but should be better tomorrow they say:WINK1:, before winter starts for all of us, including you, over the weekend.

BTW, What exactly constitutes "Blazing Hot"??????????

Do you know what the word "blazing" means? Do you know what the word "hot" means? Yes? Then put them both together and you will know what the phrase "blazing hot" means.:dbgrtmb::hapfeet:
