Years ago I worked as general dogsbody on a children's radio show. We were doing a piece on volcanoes. The producer said to one of the actors: 'now, you're standing right by an active volcano. I want you to sound really scared.' 'Scared?' came the reply, 'I'd be wearing my brown trousers.'

 

I could hardly watch, he was so lucky to stay alive.

(You never hear of volcanoes in Africa but clearly they have some respectable ones...)

I've been on an active volcano. There's one in Lanzagrotty. Not quite as active as that though.

 

I met an active volcano once in a night club in London.

Bubbly on the surface but Boy! could she explode without warning. She used to give people the trembles. :D :D

i just watched it on richard hammond journeys ...... metal snails on next weeks episode

 

Not liking heights anyway, plus suffereing from Positional Vertigo, all I wanted to do was jump off. Not very pleasant at all.

 

I seen snails with operculums, but never metal ones
