                Lewisham. My sis lived there for ages. A trip to the local supermarket on the corner of her street could be an adventure in itself.

                My step-son lives near Tottenham. He is resigned to it all. When he goes out rowing the local lads stand on the bridges and try to drop concrete blocks on his boat.

                  Sorry, Melinda, I wasn't explanatory enough when I mentioned the Recession. I didn't mean it as a direct cause. But it does have an effect on an already unhappy society, and it doesn't take much to make the petty criminals and thugs to come out on the Streets and indulge in mindless violence while they excuse their idiot doings with a cause they don't even believe in.

                  But London isn't the only city or town with a record of riots, and I do think it won't take much to see the riots spread. There are a lot of towns/cities out there that are just simmering and the mindless crowd are just begging for an excuse to riot. So there is a cause and effect from a mixture of things, none of them making sense, or proper cause, on such people who are only too willing to rob, set fire to, property and attack the "System" under the guise of a cause.
