Fitting a Louvre Vent into Greenhouse

I bought myself a 8x6 greenhouse last year from halls and have decided to give it a bit of TLC. I've decided to turn it 90 degrees to free up more space in my garden and thought while I was there I would buy some new bits for it.

I've already bought an auto roof vent opener but am looking into buying a louvre now. My greenhouse ever came with the option of one and am surprised by how much Halls want for one that will carry glass, £65 in total.

I was looking at others and was wondering if how you fit a lourve to the greenhouse frame. This is a lot of money to spend on just one vent and want to make sure I don't screw it up.

 

Jane, they are usually a standard fitting, so shop around. Check your local B and Q and garden centre first. I reckon you can buy one, complete with glass, for around £30.

 

Ideally, the louvre goes in the bottom pane directly opposite the door.

 

Two Wests and Elliott sell a louvre kit for about £28, but that doesn't include glass - however, when my Dad accidently kicked his louvre window and broke some of the 'slats' he replaced them by buying ½ an acrylic sheet and just cutting it to size.

 

Does someone mind posting a picture of there's and how it's fitting into the frame please. I'm having trouble picturing it.

Also the pane of glass I need to replace I had to throw out as it was cracked, so thought it would be a good idea to fit a louvre in its place. The glass measured 24" square, but most of the loruves I've seen have been for 18' panes
