I'm pretty sure Shiney suggested putting all the potential meet ups together in a sticky thread somewhere, so here it is.

Any Events that members are wanting to meet up at, or any plans to go somewhere or open your garden, put them in here and we might actually get it together:D

Don't worry if its a repeat of a thread you already have going, this will make it easy for everyone to find:dbgrtmb:

Thanks for doing this, ziggy :dbgrtmb:

My event has a long time to go yet but I shall also put a reminder on here in the new year :). We always open our garden for charity towards the end of May (usually Bank Holiday except in 2012) and I try to arrange for GC members to come along about 11 - 11.30 on the Saturday when I take them on a guided tour at noon and I then provide a sandwich and we stop for a chat (there's also plenty of cakes for sale).

The GC members usually bring plants to swap with each other as well.

Next year's dates are Saturday 26th 10 - 4, and Sunday 2 - 5 p.m. Here's a link to the thread where I showed a preview. The garden has changed somewhat since then but the general effect is the same. This year we raised £3,500 for the charity

Does my trip qualify as an event?

In that case it will take place sometimes before august - time frame to be announced-

        2 days in Rome/surroundings - 2 days in Napoli/surroundings.

For updated information please see my signature.

PS If plane tickets are bought with good advance they are always cheaper...

I was going to try and make it, but what having only got back from a week's holiday last weekend and with a 6 day trip to the National Gardening Show at Shepton Mallet , then via West Somerset to North Devon at the beginning of September, it looks like I might be too busy to fit another trip in next week.
