I've noticed some of you have diverse or unusual User names. Would anyone like to say how they came about? :)

I am sure we have had this question on GC before - way back :D

This is the first forum I ever joined and didn't know a user name was needed so quick
as a flash :heehee: I decided that as my favourite musician (Alan Price) is a geordie I would
use that but changed the spelling. ................(click link to see my forum)

Sorry, not very original or exciting but let's hear some others!

I was in a rush and couldn't think of anything so I conflated my first name (Clare) and my middle name (Louise) into ClaraLou. If I'd thought it through a bit more I'd probably not have gone for something that sounds like Looby Lou from Andy Pandy. (Note for the uninitiated: Andy Pandy was a children's puppet who lived in a picnic basket. He had a side-kick called Teddy who was more of a basket case. Looby Lou only appeared when the other two weren't around, which always seemed dodgy, somehow.)

When I used to play a lot of online bingo I would struggle to find a user name that wasn't taken already. After trying different ones for 20 mins or so I tried this one and got lucky so rather than repeating that frustration I pretty much stuck with this one. I'm not very clever or creative about nick names and will sit and stare at the screen like a poo on a log for ages trying to think of something that isn't just totally lame.

The first seeds I ever bought and successfully propagated was a mixed packet of Cosmos :) They've always been a firm favourite ever since. Easy to grow and strong blooms all year round....even if they can get a little tall :heehee: I have tried an extra variety each year since.

:sunny: Mine was my eldest grandson's nickname when he was small.. He was here when I was trying to think of a name & he said "I bet there aren't any other Marley Farleys Gran" so we tried it & it worked 1st time so stuck with it, or MF ever since.. :D

My name. I'm a member of a few forums, and if I had about 4 different usernames, I'd forget them all!
