I have a client who owns several homes and rents out the rooms to students

all the homes gardens are neglected .... I mow the lawns once a year and get given 1hr per garden .... the lawns are only mowed once a year

one of today's jobs .... before and after .... took 50 minutes .... not the right way to do things, but the client dictates :(

Good grief, is that a LAWN ?!?

What did you do, yank out the big plants, or just mow over the top of them ? (cant see any 'stubs', though the photo's small ofc)

LOL .... no time to pull weeds ... mow and move to the next property .... 1hr per property .... will return in 1yr again ...

I actually planted the lawn from seed 2 yrs ago ... the whole yard was weeds with no grass ... if it does not rain, it does not get watered ... never gets fertilizer and weeds are bigger than cabbages ... 10 bedroomed home on 4 floors filled with students

I have a lot of these type of jobs in my area .... other gardeners refuse ... owner pays well though ...

I work once a week at his home where he lives ... I work 4hrs/week (even during winter) ... never get told what to do, I just sort it ... his garden is pristine and was done from scratch (by me) with no expense spared including an automated irrigation system ...

a lovely home with all the mod cons including solar heating, heated flooring, clap your hands and the curtains open and close ... etc etc

If he pays, isnt it worth at least spending 5 minutes lobbing down a whole tub of weed-and-feed before you go ?

he's not interested ... says he run's a 'tight ship' and does not want to spend on his rented houses ... it's all about profit ... like I said.... client dictates

even tried convincing him to use greenthumb, and told him they are pretty cheap if used 3 times a year just for weedkiller ... but to no avail ...

so ... I just do as told ... mow right over the weeds once a year :(
