Not sure if I've spelt Antirrhinum right! Will they come true from collected seed at home please.

 

I think you will find the more interesting colours will decline and you will end up with all the same colour after a couple of generations.

Personally what I would do is just have a go for the fun of it. What are you going to loose apart from a little compost.

 

I've tried & will keep trying, lol. What puzzles me is why they won't grow for me but are doing really well in a bag of rubble (courtesy of the birds I think)!!! :D

 

Probably being too nice to them, they are cliff dwellers so will colonise a really extreme environment, throw some seed on a patch of gravel & see what happens.

The Antirrhinum were cliff dwellers or the birds ziggy I think I'll collect some seeds from mine and give them a go.

PS : Any more posts on this lets call them snap-dragons !! Its one hell of a word to spell............

 

The antisnaprhinumdragons are dragons not birds

Nearly called Daughter #1 Toadflax (wild relatives of Snap Dragons) as they were flowering when she was born.

Called her Poppy Hemlock instead. Still remember the looks on the other parents faces at the park when I called out "Hemlock" & she would come running towards me

 

Poppy is a lovely name for a girl Ziggy . Not to sure Hemlock will get in the top ten though
And antisnaprhinumdragons is what I will call them from now on , the grandkids will love that name :D I wonder how many points that will be at Scrabble® or Boggle®

 

Poppy's a lovely name Ziggy. Knowing your type of gardening I'm glad you didn't call her Onion or Cabbage!
