Making a raised vegatable bed for a novice

    I assume you are taking up a lawn, so, using a spade, cut the lawn into 1ft (30 cm) squares and skim off and stack upside down in some unused corner of the garden, Turn over, to a spades depth, the garden, and leave over winter. Unless you want winter veg. Let me know if you do.lol:thumbsup:

    Stack it grass to grass and soil to soil and leave it for a year or two...it'll rot down into decent loam which you can use in your garden/greenhouse.
