Hurricane IRENE

    News now says it is the size of Europe as it is moving up the coastline.
    I live in Pennsylvania, a 2 hour drive from the New Jersey Shoreline.
    Presently, just lots of rain, no wind. Will probably flood in the low land levels around me. So far electric is still on.
    Hope the valley I live in will block some of the wind as it move up.
    Well, gardens are getting lots of water.

    Just heard the tragic news of an 11 year old boy being killed in Virginia by a tree falling onto a two storey apartment he was in. Take care out there, Redstar.:rolleyespink:

    So far only rain, no high winds. It is now 6PM here on Saturday night. Electric still good. But at this time its now, not even to Washington DC which is about 3 hours below us to the East.

    Hitting Maryland now. The winds stonger suddenly here at my house.

    We do have a basement. Not what you call a root cellar, I guess!!
    So far so good, now 7PM here, winds died down now, just still rain.
    Ok, with electic so far.

    Almost 8 PM here, just lots of rain, no major winds. Really lots of rain.
    Still electric. Thank God.
