Esther, I hope you don't mind me relaying an update from Facebook just to allay concerns over here.

She has lost power at home but managed to get back online a couple of hours ago from her work, so hopefully the worse is past.

I am back. Electric finally came back at 3PM Monday. The clean up goes on. No big trees fell, just limbs, branches, leaves.
Had to deal with my different group homes, so only able quickly get on facebook. But, in general so stressfull, so tired. All better today Tuesday. Thanks for your concerns.

Nice to know Redstar is still shining:D

I'm not sure a basement is the best place to be should it rain so heavily you get floods.:(

Yes, Jack--my son, the steaks are still good to go. Would offer you a nice thick one or two, to clean up all the Irene down fall. But my son has deserted me when it matter, oh poor me. But guess what Son-Jack, we are having Labor Day Weekend this weekend, and out come the steakes on the grill, yummy.

So nice of you Jack. Met so many nice folks on this site. Would be nice to travel about to see everyone for a couple months escape.

        B&B

What I offer visitors, is lots of people come to Scotland and stay in the Capital, which they have paid for
If they (usually the husbands) want to visit St Andrews, it is silly to pay again for accomodation
I live 20mins from St Andrews, so friends are welcome to use my Daughters room (married and left home) for free
You have to do your own thing for meals, appart from breakfast, which is help yourself to cereals, or I knock up a Scottish breakfast

I do not have a POSH house, but it is clean, and I like to help people enjoy a holiday with less expence

Jack, will certainly keep you in mind. Visiting Scotland is certainly on my short list. I would like to see all that wonderful county side, mountains, old buildings, small villages. Sounds wonderful.
